This Executive Order is granted based on emission test results in the modified configuration
using the Cold—Start CVS—75 Federal Test Procedure (FTP), Supplemental Federal Test
Procedure (SFTP USO6), and an examination of the On—Board Diagnostic II (OBD II) system.
   Testing a 2004 model year Chevrolet C1500 with a 5.3 liter engine (4GMXT06.0187, LEV 1
SULEV) with the Short Style Tubular Exhaust Manifolds and Cold—Air Induction Package
installed showed emission levels to be below the applicable emission standards. Results from
emissions testing conducted at Automobile Club of Southern California, Diamond Bar,
California, are shown below (in grams per mile with deterioration factors applied):

                              CVS—75 USO6
NMOG CO NOx HCHO NMHC+NOx CO
   Standards 50k 0.125 3.4 0.14 0.015 0.40 10.5
   With Device 0.089 1.3 0.08 0.001 0.06 0.4

The same emissions impact is expected of the vehicles in the application when installed with the
Short Style Tubular Exhaust Manifolds. Examination of the OBD II system showed the Short
Style Tubular Exhaust Manifolds does not affect OBD II system operation.

The Air Resources Board reserves the right in the future to review this Executive Order and the
exemption provided herein to assure that the exempted add—on or modified part continues to
meet the standards and procedures of Title 13, California Code of Regulations, Section 2222, et
