The programmers are designed to download OEM calibration updates, non emission related upgrades, and patches or fixes in the firmware. Emission-related data files cannot be modified by the end user. The HyperPAC, is the same as the hand held programmers with the addition of a dash mount display for engine operating parameters. The HyperPAC uses the OBD II port to obtain engine operating parameters for its display. The HyperPAC may be unplugged from the OBD II port during the Smog Check Inspection program in California. |
