(Page 1 of 2) State of California AIR RESOURCES BOARD EXECUTIIVE ORDER D—375—4 Relating to Exemptions Under Section 27156 of the Vehicle Code AUTOTECH SPORT TUNING ~ Sport 16V Camshaft Set Pursuant to the authority vested in the Air Resources Board by Section 27156 of the Vehicle Code; and Pursuant to the authority vested in the undersigned by Sections 39515 and 39516 of the Health and Safety Code and Executive Order G—45—9; IT IS ORDERED AND RESOLVED: That the installation of the Sport 16V Camshaft Set, Part number 10.109.418K manufactured by Autotech Sport Tuning of 32240—E Paseo Adelanto, San Juan Capistrano, California 92675, has been found not to reduce the effectiveness of the applicable vehicle pollution control system and, therefore, is exempt from the prohibitions of Section 27156 of the Vehicle Code for the VW Scirocco 16V 1986—88, Golf 16V 1987—92, Jetta 16V 1987—92, and Passat 16V 1990—94. The Autotech Sport 16V Camshaft is designed with the following specifications: Lift @ 0.050" intake 0.4" exhaust 0.429", duration @ 0.050" intake 210 degrees, exhaust 220 degrees, and lobe center at 114 degrees. This Executive Order is valid provided that installation instructions for this kit will not recommend tuning the vehicles to specificationsdifferent from those ofthe vehicle manufacturer. Changes made to the design or operating conditions of the devices, as exempt by the Air Resources Board, which adversely affect the performance of a vehicle‘s pollution control system shall invalidate this Executive Order. Marketing of this device using any identification other than that shown in this Executive Order or marketing of this device for an application other than those listed in this Executive Order shall be prohibited unless prior approval is obtained from the Air Resources Board. This Executive Order does not constitute any opinion as to the effect the use of the device may have on any warranty either expressed or implied by the vehicle‘s manufacturer. This Executive Order is granted based on submitted emissions test data on a 1995 VW Golf with a 2.0L gasoline engine. Testing consisted of comparative Cold Start CVS—75 Federal Test Procedures, with the worst case camshaft (Hor Technologie Sport Hydro) installed for the modified test configuration. The following test results, in grams per mile, showed that the difference between modified and baseline emissions results were within the allowable limits as specified under the "Procedures for Exemption of Add—On and Modified Parts: HC CO NOX Stock 0.16 1.7 0.13 Device 0.18 1.9 0.11

AUTOTECH SPORT TUNING EXECUTIVE ORDER D—375—4 Sport 16V Camshaft Set (Page 2 of 2) THIS EXECUTIVE ORDER DOES NOT CONSTITUTE A CERTIFICATION, ACCREDITATION, APPROVAL, OR ANY OTHER TYPE OF ENDORSEMENT BY THE AIR RESOURCES BOARD OF CLAIMS OF THE APPLICANT CONCERNING ANTI—POLLUTION BENEFITS OR ANY ALLEGED BENEFITS OF AUTOTECH SPORT TUNING‘S SPORT 16V CAMSHAFT SET. No claim of any kind, such as "Approved by the Air Resources Board," may be made with respect to the action taken herein in any advertising or other oral or written communication. Violation of any of the above conditions shall be grounds for revocation of this order. The order may be revoked only after ten days written notice ofintention to revoke the order, in which period the holder of the order may request in writing a hearing to contest the proposed revocation.
