On 1999-2003 systems, all fuel and vapor lines must meet SAE J30R9 or lower permeation standards. As an exception, on 1999-2003 systems, SAE J30R7 permeation line can be used at the emission canister vent. On 2004-2005 systems, all fuel and vapor lines must be original equipment manufacturer or steel lines.
