State of California AIR RESOURCES BOARD EXECUTIVE ORDER D—57—19 Relating to Exemptions Under Section 27156 of the Vehicle Code Pertronix, Inc. Doug‘s Headers Brand Exhaust Headers Pursuant to the authority vested in the Air Resources Board by Section 27156 of the Vehicle Code; and Pursuant to the authority vested in the undersigned by Section 39515 and Section 39516 of the Health and Safety Code and Executive Order G—02—003; IT 1S ORDERED AND RESOLVED: That the installation of the Doug‘s Headers Brand Exhaust Headers, manufactured and marketed by Pertronix, Inc., 440 East Arrow Highway, San Dimas, California 91773 has been found not to reduce the effectiveness of the applicable vehicle pollution control system and, therefore, is exempt from the prohibitions of Section 27156 of the Vehicle Code for the vehicle applications listed in Exhibit A which is attached hereto and incorporated herein. Vehicles that are equipped with a close coupled warm up catalyst are excluded from this Executive Order for long tube headers only, which includes but not limited to: General Motors 2001 model year vehicles with engine test groups 1GMXAO05.3185, 1GMXA06.0188, 1GMXA08.1201, and 1GMXAO8.1203. Chrysler 2000 model year vehicles with engine test groups YCRXAO360H31, and YCRXAO360J31. Chrysier 2001 model year vehicles with engine test groups 1CRXAO36OH38, 1CRXAO360OH41, 1CRXAO360J38, 1CRXAO36OJ41, 1CRXAO3GOK38, 1CRXAO3GOK41, | 1CRXTO5.92D1, and 1CRXTO05.95B5. Chrysler 2002 model year vehicles with engine test groups 2CRXAO360J40, 2CRXAO3G6OHA41, 2CRXA0360H40, and 2CRXTO5.9D0. The Doug‘s Headers Brand Exhaust Headers are manufactured out of 14 gage mild steel. The design of the long tube headers may include a Y—pipe, while that of short tube headers may either connect to the stock connecting pipe or include a new one. All emission components are retained in their original location. The location of the oxygen sensor is at the collector in the connecting pipe, in the stock location and configuration. This Executive Order is valid provided that the installation instructions for the Doug‘s Headers Brand will not recommend tuning the vehicle to specifications different from those submitted by the device manufacturer. This Executive Order shall not apply to any Doug‘s Headers Brand Exhaust Headers advertised, offered for sale, sold with, or installed on a new motor vehicle prior to or concurrent with transfer to an ultimate purchaser. Changes made to the design or operating conditions of the Doug‘s Headers Brand Exhaust = Headers, as exempt by the Air Resources Board, which adversely affect the performance of the ; vehicle‘s pollution control system shall invalidate this Executive Order. Marketing of the Doug‘s Headers Brand Exhaust Headers using any identification other than that shown in this Executive Order or marketing of the Doug‘s Headers Brand Exhaust Headers for an application other than those listed in this Executive Order shall be prohibited unless prior approval is obtained from the Air Resources Board.

«2. Exemption of the Doug‘s Headers Brand Exhaust Headers shall not be construed as exemption to sell, offer for sale, or advertise any component of the kit as an individual device. This Executive Order does not constitute any opinion as to the effect the use of the Doug‘s Headers Brand Exhaust Headers may have on any warranty either expressed or implied by the vehicle. * This Executive Order is granted based on a prior evaluation which determined that the Doug‘s Headers Brand Exhaust Headers do not cause an adverse effect on emissions of selected vehicles (D—554—2 and D—554—3), nor does it affect the vehicles‘ ability to perform On—Board Diagnostic II (OBD 11) system monitoring. THIS EXECUTIVE ORDER DOES NOT CONSTITUTE A CERTIFICATION, ACCREDITATION, APPROVAL, OR ANY OTHER TYPE OF ENDORSEMENT BY THE AIR RESOURCES BOARD OF ANY CLAIMS OF THE APPLICANT CONCERNING ANTI—POLLUTION BENEFITS OR ANY ALLEGED BENEFITS OF PERTRONIX, INC.‘S DOUG‘S HEADERS BRAND EXHAUST HEADERS. No claim of any kind, such as "Approved by the Air Resources Board", may be made with respect to the action taken herein in any advertising or other oral or written communication. Violation of any of the above conditions shall be grounds for revocation of this order. The order may be revoked only after a ten—day written notice of intention to revoke the order, in which period the holder of the order may request in writing a hearing to contest the proposed revocation. If a hearing is requested, it shall be held within ten days of receipt of the request and the order may not be revoked until a determination is made after the hearing that grounds for revocation exist.
